# Ingredients:

01 - 8 ounces fettuccine

02 - 12 ounces large raw shrimp, peeled and deveined, tails removed

03 - 13.5 ounces smoked sausage, cut into 1/4-inch pieces

04 - 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) unsalted butter
05 - 2 cups heavy whipping cream
06 - 1 cup grated parmesan cheese

→ Oils & Seasonings

07 - 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning, divided
08 - 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
09 - 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
10 - 1 teaspoon kosher salt
11 - 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
12 - 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper

13 - Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

# Steps:

01 - Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil over medium-high heat. Add fettuccine and cook until al dente, 8-10 minutes or according to package directions. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, drain the pasta, and set aside.
02 - Pat shrimp dry with paper towels and toss with half of the Cajun seasoning. Set aside.
03 - Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add smoked sausage and cook 2-3 minutes per side, until golden and slightly crisp. Transfer to a plate and tent loosely with foil.
04 - In the same skillet, add seasoned shrimp in a single layer. Cook 1-2 minutes per side until opaque and cooked through. Remove and set aside with the sausage.
05 - Add unsalted butter to the same skillet and melt over medium heat. Stir in minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
06 - Pour in heavy whipping cream. Add remaining Cajun seasoning, kosher salt, black pepper, and crushed red pepper. Stir to combine and bring to a gentle boil, stirring occasionally.
07 - Reduce heat to low and let sauce simmer for 6-8 minutes until slightly thickened.
08 - Add grated parmesan cheese. Stir until cheese is melted and sauce is smooth.
09 - Return pasta, sausage, and shrimp to the skillet. Toss with sauce until evenly coated. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley and serve immediately.
