Caramel Apple Overnight Oats (Printable Version)

Rolled oats, caramel, apples, and cinnamon combine for a creamy, naturally sweet, and easy morning meal.

# Ingredients:

→ Base Mixture

01 - 1 cup rolled oats
02 - 1 cup milk or nondairy alternative (such as almond or oat milk)
03 - 1/2 cup Greek yogurt (optional, for extra creaminess)

→ Fruit and Flavor

04 - 1 medium apple, diced (preferably sweet variety such as Fuji or Honeycrisp)
05 - 2 tablespoons caramel sauce
06 - 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
07 - 1 pinch of salt

→ Toppings

08 - 1 tablespoon chopped nuts (such as walnuts or pecans)
09 - Additional caramel sauce, to serve
10 - Additional ground cinnamon, to serve

# Steps:

01 - In a mixing bowl, combine rolled oats, milk or nondairy alternative, and Greek yogurt if using. Stir thoroughly until well blended.
02 - Add diced apple, caramel sauce, ground cinnamon, and a pinch of salt to the oat mixture. Stir until ingredients are evenly incorporated.
03 - Divide the oat mixture evenly into individual jars or containers with lids. Seal the containers and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, ideally overnight.
04 - Before serving, stir the mixture, then top with additional caramel sauce, chopped nuts, and a light sprinkle of cinnamon for added flavor and texture.

# Notes:

01 - Rolled oats deliver the best texture for overnight soaking, but quick or steel-cut oats can be substituted with adjusted soaking times.
02 - For a dairy-free or vegan alternative, use plant-based milk and coconut yogurt or omit yogurt entirely.
03 - Flavor and texture may vary depending on the apple variety selected.
