01 -
Preheat the oven to 400°F. Mix the peeled garlic cloves with olive oil and salt. Transfer to a mini oven-safe pot with a lid or cover with foil and bake for about 20 minutes until soft and golden. Mash with a fork and set aside.
02 -
Add the mashed roasted garlic, melted butter, egg, milk, salt, paprika, and parsley to a bowl. Whisk thoroughly to combine.
03 -
Reduce the oven temperature to 350°F after roasting the garlic. Use a sharp knife to slice the sheet of bread rolls into halves horizontally. Place on a baking sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes until light golden and crispy.
04 -
Dip the baked bread halves into the garlic butter custard, ensuring they are well coated on all sides. Place the coated bread back on the baking sheet.
05 -
Bake the bread at 350°F for 15-18 minutes until golden. Top with shredded mozzarella cheese and set the oven to broil (or grill) for about 5 minutes until the cheese is melted and golden.
06 -
Garnish the bread with fresh parsley and chili flakes. Slice, serve, and enjoy!
