# Ingredients:

→ Base

01 - 1 can (12–16 oz) refrigerated cinnamon rolls with icing

→ Custard Mixture

02 - 3 large eggs
03 - 1/2 cup whole milk or unsweetened dairy-free milk alternative
04 - 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
05 - 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
06 - 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

→ Preparation

07 - Butter or nonstick cooking spray for greasing

→ Serving

08 - Powdered sugar for dusting
09 - Maple syrup for serving

# Steps:

01 - Set the oven temperature to 375°F (190°C) and allow to preheat for even baking.
02 - Open the can of refrigerated cinnamon rolls. Separate the rolls and cut each one into quarters or bite-sized segments.
03 - In a large bowl, vigorously whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and nutmeg until fully blended.
04 - Add the cut cinnamon roll pieces into the egg mixture, stirring gently to ensure each piece absorbs custard on all sides. Allow to soak for several minutes.
05 - Liberally grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter or cooking spray.
06 - Distribute soaked cinnamon roll pieces evenly in the prepared baking dish. Bake in the preheated oven for 15–20 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through. Test doneness by inserting a toothpick in the center; it should emerge clean.
07 - While baking, ready the icing included with the cinnamon rolls. After removing the baked bites from the oven, immediately drizzle icing over the warm pieces for even coating.
08 - Dust bites with powdered sugar if desired. Serve warm, accompanied by maple syrup.

# Notes:

01 - For a dairy-free version, use unsweetened almond or oat milk and ensure the cinnamon rolls are dairy-free.
02 - Substitute gluten-free cinnamon rolls as needed for gluten sensitivities.
03 - Allowing the cinnamon roll pieces to soak briefly in custard ensures a tender texture.
