# Ingredients:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts
02 - 1 tablespoon cornstarch
03 - 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
04 - 1/8 teaspoon smoked sweet paprika
05 - Kosher salt, to taste
06 - Ground black pepper, to taste
07 - 1/4 cup olive oil
08 - 4 ounces cream cheese
09 - 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
10 - 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
11 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
12 - 1 cup low sodium chicken broth
13 - 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
14 - 1 teaspoon chopped fresh parsley
15 - 1/2 tablespoon water
16 - 1/2 to 1 tablespoon soy sauce

# Steps:

01 - In a small bowl, combine the cornstarch, garlic powder, and smoked sweet paprika.
02 - Flatten chicken breasts to an even thickness. Season both sides with kosher salt and black pepper. Dredge chicken in the seasoned cornstarch mixture until fully coated.
03 - Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken breasts for 5–6 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Transfer chicken to a plate and keep warm.
04 - Reduce heat to medium. In the same skillet, add butter and heat until melted. Stir in chopped onion and cook until softened, about 2 minutes. Add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds more, stirring frequently. Pour in chicken broth, scraping up any browned bits from the pan. Add cream cheese and Parmesan cheese, whisking until melted and smooth.
05 - Stir in water and soy sauce. Adjust seasoning with additional salt and pepper if needed. Return chicken breasts to the skillet, nestling them into the sauce. Cover and simmer on low for 4–5 minutes, or until chicken is heated through and sauce is thickened.
06 - Sprinkle chopped fresh parsley over the finished dish before serving.

# Notes:

01 - Flattening the chicken breasts promotes even cooking and tenderness throughout.
02 - A cornstarch coating locks in moisture and creates a delicate crust on the chicken.
