# Ingredients:

→ Sliders

01 - 1 package (15 ounces, 12-count) potato slider buns (Martin’s brand recommended)
02 - 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided
03 - 3 cups yellow onion, thinly sliced (from 1 large onion)
04 - 3 teaspoons fresh thyme leaves, divided
05 - 2 teaspoons grated garlic (from 2 cloves), divided
06 - 1/2 teaspoon granulated sugar
07 - 3/4 teaspoon kosher salt, divided
08 - 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
09 - 1 1/2 pounds deli roast beef, thinly sliced and cut into 1-inch wide strips
10 - 1/2 pound Swiss cheese, thinly sliced

→ Au Jus Dipping Sauce

11 - 1 can (10.5 ounces) French onion soup (Campbell’s brand recommended)
12 - 1 1/2 cups water
13 - 1 ounce Au Jus mix packet

# Steps:

01 - Melt 4 tablespoons of unsalted butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced onions, 2 teaspoons thyme leaves, 1 teaspoon grated garlic, granulated sugar, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and black pepper. Cook, stirring often, until onions are deeply golden and caramelized.
02 - Split slider buns. Arrange the bottom halves in a baking dish. Evenly layer strips of roast beef, Swiss cheese slices, and caramelized onions over the buns. Cover with the top halves of the buns.
03 - In a saucepan, combine French onion soup, water, Au Jus mix, the remaining 2 tablespoons butter, 1 teaspoon thyme leaves, 1/4 teaspoon salt, and 1 teaspoon grated garlic. Simmer over medium heat until fully warmed and fragrant.
04 - Pour half of the prepared Au Jus evenly over sliders in the baking dish. Cover tightly with foil and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 15 minutes, or until cheese is melted. Serve immediately with the remaining warm Au Jus for dipping.

# Notes:

01 - Sliders can be adapted by substituting different cheeses or adding sautéed mushrooms or peppers for enhanced flavor and variety.
02 - For convenience, pre-made Au Jus or beef broth can be used in place of the homemade sauce.
