Soft donut bars with maple glaze. Perfect for sharing with family and friends.

# Ingredients:

→ Donut Bars

01 - 2 cups all-purpose flour
02 - 1 cup granulated sugar
03 - 1 tablespoon baking powder
04 - 1/2 teaspoon salt
05 - 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
06 - 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
07 - 1 cup buttermilk (or milk with 1 tablespoon vinegar)
08 - 2 large eggs
09 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
10 - 1/2 cup pure maple syrup, plus extra for drizzling

→ Maple Glaze

11 - 1 cup powdered sugar
12 - 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup
13 - 1–2 tablespoons milk (adjust as needed)

# Steps:

01 - Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish or line with parchment paper for easy release.
02 - In a large bowl, whisk together flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, salt, and ground cinnamon until fully incorporated.
03 - In a separate bowl, mix melted butter, buttermilk, eggs, vanilla extract, and maple syrup until smooth.
04 - Pour wet ingredients into dry mixture and gently combine until just mixed. Avoid overmixing; batter should remain slightly lumpy.
05 - Spread batter evenly into prepared baking dish. Bake for 25–30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
06 - While bars are baking, whisk together powdered sugar, pure maple syrup, and milk in a medium bowl until glaze is completely smooth. Adjust milk to achieve the preferred consistency.
07 - Let baked bars cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool fully. Drizzle the maple glaze evenly over the cooled bars before serving.

# Notes:

01 - For dairy-free bars, substitute coconut oil for butter and use almond or other non-dairy milk with vinegar in place of buttermilk. The bars can be kept refrigerated for up to one week or frozen in airtight wrapping for up to three months.
