01 - 1 cup long-grain white rice (e.g., Jasmine or Basmati)
02 - 2 cups water or broth
03 - 1 tablespoon butter or oil (optional)
04 - Pinch of salt (optional)

# Steps:

01 - Place rice in a fine-mesh strainer and rinse under cold water until the water runs clear.
02 - Lightly grease the bottom and sides of the slow cooker with butter or non-stick spray to prevent sticking.
03 - Add rinsed rice, water or broth, and a pinch of salt to the slow cooker and stir to combine.
04 - Cover and cook on high for 1 ½ to 2 ½ hours, or until rice is tender and the liquid is absorbed.
05 - Once cooked, fluff the rice with a fork and serve.

# Notes:

01 - Thoroughly rinsing the rice removes excess starch and prevents clumping.
02 - Cooking times may vary based on the slow cooker model.
03 - If the rice is mushy, reduce the liquid or cooking time slightly.
04 - If the rice is undercooked, add 1-2 tablespoons of water and cook a little longer.
05 - Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days.
06 - To reheat in the microwave, add a splash of water and cover to preserve moisture.
