Place unsalted butter, white button mushrooms, and dry ranch seasoning mix in a large skillet over medium heat. Let the butter melt and stir to evenly coat the mushrooms.

Cook the mixture, stirring occasionally, for approximately 20 minutes until the mushrooms are tender and most of their liquid has evaporated. The mushrooms should develop a golden-brown color.
