→ Garlic Herb Mashed Potatoes

18 - 2 pounds potatoes, peeled and chopped
19 - 4 cloves garlic, minced
20 - 1/2 cup whole milk
21 - 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
22 - 1 teaspoon kosher salt
23 - 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
24 - 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

# Steps:

01 - In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, finely chopped onion, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, black pepper, and dried thyme. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
02 - Shape the mixture into 1.5-inch meatballs. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and brown the meatballs on all sides until a crust forms, working in batches if necessary. Transfer browned meatballs to a plate and set aside.
03 - In the same skillet, add olive oil. Sauté sliced onion over medium heat until translucent, then add minced garlic and cook until fragrant. Pour in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, stirring to deglaze the pan. Bring to a simmer and stir in the cornstarch slurry. Continue to cook until gravy thickens. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
04 - Place peeled, chopped potatoes in a large pot and cover with cold water. Add a generous pinch of salt and bring to a boil over high heat. Cook potatoes until fork-tender, about 15-20 minutes. Drain well and return to the pot.
05 - While potatoes are hot, mash with minced garlic, butter, and milk until smooth and creamy. Season with salt and black pepper, then fold in chopped fresh parsley.
06 - Return browned meatballs to the skillet of gravy and simmer briefly until heated through. Plate mashed potatoes and arrange meatballs on top. Spoon gravy over meatballs and potatoes, finishing with a sprinkle of fresh parsley if desired.

# Notes:

01 - To enrich the mashed potatoes, add a splash of heavy cream just before serving.
02 - Ground turkey may be substituted in the meatball mixture for a lighter option.
