# Ingredients:

01 - 2 sticks unsalted butter, at room temperature
02 - 3/4 cup sugar
03 - 1/4 teaspoon salt
04 - 1 teaspoon vanilla
05 - 1 egg
06 - 2 cups flour
07 - 11 oz package Kraft Caramel Bits
08 - 1/2 tablespoon sea salt

# Steps:

01 - Spray the bottom of the slow cooker with nonstick spray, coating it well.
02 - With a mixer, beat together butter, sugar, and vanilla until well combined.
03 - Add egg and salt to the mixture and mix until incorporated.
04 - Add flour one cup at a time and mix until a soft dough forms.
05 - Sprinkle a bit of flour over the dough and use your hands to form it into a ball.
06 - Use a little over half of the dough and press it evenly onto the bottom of the slow cooker. Sprinkle flour as needed to prevent sticking.
07 - Evenly sprinkle the bag of caramel bits over the crust.
08 - Crumble the remaining dough over the caramel layer.
09 - Sprinkle sea salt evenly over the crumbled dough layer.
10 - Cover and cook on low for 2-3 hours. The bars are done when slightly browned around the edges and a knife inserted into the center comes out mostly clean.
11 - Let the cookie bars cool completely in the slow cooker before removing. Serve at room temperature.

# Notes:

01 - Store leftovers in an airtight container. Use parchment paper to separate layers of bars if stacking.
02 - Ensure butter and egg are at room temperature for the best texture.
03 - Bars will firm up as they cool, even if they seem soft initially.
04 - To bake in the oven, use an 8x8 pan sprayed with nonstick spray, then bake at 350 ℉ for 25-30 minutes.
