# Ingredients:

→ Vegetables

01 - 16-ounce package frozen green beans
02 - 1/4 cup diced onion

→ Fats and Oils

03 - 1 tablespoon olive oil
04 - 1 tablespoon unsalted butter

→ Seasonings

05 - 1 teaspoon bottled minced garlic
06 - Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

# Steps:

01 - Allow green beans to sit at room temperature for 30 to 60 minutes, or microwave them on a microwave-safe plate for 3 to 4 minutes until just defrosted but still cool and firm.
02 - In a small skillet over medium-high heat, melt the butter and olive oil together until the butter is fully liquefied.
03 - Once the pan is thoroughly heated and the fat is shimmering, add all of the green beans to the skillet.
04 - Sauté the green beans, stirring occasionally, for 3 to 4 minutes to begin heating them through.
05 - Incorporate the minced garlic and diced onion into the skillet; continue sautéing while stirring for another 3 to 4 minutes until the green beans are hot and the garlic and onions are golden brown and crisp but not burned.
06 - Season the green beans with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste. Serve hot.

# Notes:

01 - For best results, avoid over-defrosting green beans as excess moisture can affect texture during sautéing.
