02 - 1 cup molasses
03 - 3/4 cup boiling water
04 - 1 large egg, room temperature
05 - 1 teaspoon baking soda
06 - 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
07 - 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
08 - 1/2 teaspoon salt
09 - 2 cups all-purpose flour

→ Crumble Topping

10 - 1 cup dark brown sugar, packed
11 - 1/2 cup salted butter, softened
12 - 1 cup all-purpose flour

# Steps:

01 - In a mixing bowl, whisk together molasses and boiling water until combined. In a separate bowl, beat the egg, then blend in baking soda, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, salt, and all-purpose flour. Add the wet molasses mixture to the dry ingredients and mix until smooth.
02 - In a bowl, combine dark brown sugar, all-purpose flour, and softened salted butter. Blend the ingredients together using a pastry cutter or fingertips until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
03 - Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Fit the refrigerated pie crust into a 9-inch pie dish. Pour the prepared filling into the crust. Generously sprinkle the crumble topping over the filling. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, or until the center is set and the topping is golden brown. Cool before slicing.
