Slow Cooker Beef Goulash (Printable Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 pound ground beef
02 - 1 small yellow onion, diced
03 - 2 teaspoons jarred minced garlic
04 - 1 green bell pepper, seeded and diced
05 - 2 cups tomato basil pasta sauce
06 - 8 oz tomato sauce
07 - 15 oz diced tomatoes
08 - 1 cup water
09 - 1 teaspoon herb and garlic seasoning
10 - 6 oz pasta noodles

# Steps:

01 - Brown the ground beef in a skillet and transfer it to the slow cooker.
02 - Stir in all remaining ingredients except the pasta into the slow cooker.
03 - Cover and cook on high for 2-3 hours or low for 4-6 hours (can simmer on low for up to 8 hours).
04 - Turn the slow cooker to high, add the pasta in the last 30-45 minutes, and cook until pasta is tender. Serve immediately to prevent overcooking.

# Notes:

01 - Macaroni noodles were used, but penne or other types of pasta can be substituted. Note that cooking times may vary.
02 - To prepare ahead, cook and cool the ground beef before freezing with the remaining ingredients (except pasta). Thaw fully before cooking.
03 - Leftovers can be stored in airtight containers in the fridge for up to 3 days.
