# Ingredients:

01 - 24 oz frozen extra fine green beans
02 - 2 slices thick-cut bacon, chopped finely
03 - 1 medium shallot, minced (about 1/4 cup)
04 - 2 cloves minced garlic
05 - 1/4 cup flour
06 - 2 1/2 cups chicken broth
07 - 1 cup heavy cream
08 - 1/2 teaspoon salt
09 - 1/4 teaspoon herb and garlic seasoning
10 - 1 cup Parmesan cheese
11 - 6 oz French fried onions

# Steps:

01 - Spray slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray.
02 - Add frozen green beans to slow cooker.
03 - In skillet over medium-high heat, sauté bacon until lightly browned (around 3-5 minutes).
04 - Add shallots to skillet and sauté for another 1-2 minutes until they just start to brown.
05 - Add minced garlic and cook for 1 more minute.
06 - Add flour evenly to pan, and stir the sauce to coat bacon, shallots, and garlic.
07 - Slowly add chicken broth while stirring until smooth.
08 - Let mixture simmer for about 4-6 minutes until sauce thickens enough to stick to a spoon.
09 - Add cream and seasonings and let mixture continue to simmer for another 3-4 minutes until it is thick and heated through.
10 - Pour sauce over green beans in slow cooker and toss lightly to evenly coat them.
11 - Sprinkle green beans with cheese, cover, and cook on high for 2 ½ to 3 hours or low for 5 to 6 hours.
12 - About 15 minutes before serving, sprinkle French-fried onions across top of casserole and let it heat on high until lightly crispy.
