Slow Cooker Teriyaki Chicken (Printable Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 1/2 pounds boneless skinless chicken breast
02 - 1/4 cup soy sauce
03 - 1/4 cup honey
04 - 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
05 - 2 tablespoons brown sugar
06 - 2 teaspoons jarred minced garlic
07 - 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
08 - 2 tablespoons cornstarch

# Steps:

01 - Add chicken to the slow cooker.
02 - Whisk together all remaining ingredients, except for cornstarch.
03 - Whisk cornstarch with 2 tablespoons of water until smooth, then whisk into the sauce.
04 - Pour sauce over chicken in the slow cooker, cover, and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
05 - Remove chicken, shred, and return to the sauce.
06 - Serve with rice or vegetables and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds, if desired.

# Notes:

01 - Store in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months. Defrost in the fridge if needed and reheat in the microwave.
02 - Add red pepper flakes to increase spice.
03 - To thicken the sauce, pour into a saucepan and simmer for a few minutes until thickened.
