In a small saucepan, combine mint leaves, sugar, and 1/2 cup water. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat and allow syrup to cool completely.

In a large pitcher, mix lime juice, white rum, coconut rum, coconut milk, and 1/4 cup prepared mint syrup. Stir thoroughly to combine flavors.

Fill glasses with ice. Pour mojito mixture over ice, top with sparkling water. Garnish each glass with additional mint leaves and pomegranate arils before serving.
