Green Beans with Garlic (Printable Version)

Crisp green beans sauteed with garlic and onion - a quick, healthy side dish perfect for weeknight dinners.

# Ingredients:

01 - 16 oz package frozen green beans
02 - 1 tablespoon olive oil
03 - 1 tablespoon butter
04 - 1 teaspoon bottled minced garlic
05 - 1/4 cup diced onion
06 - Salt and pepper to taste

# Steps:

01 - Leave green beans out for about 30-60 minutes or defrost in microwave for 3-4 minutes until just defrosted but not warm or soggy.
02 - In a small skillet over medium-high heat, melt butter along with olive oil until pan is warm enough for green beans to sizzle.
03 - Add green beans to the pan and saute, stirring occasionally for about 3-4 minutes.
04 - Add garlic and onion to the pan and continue stirring for another 3-4 minutes until greens are heated through, and garlic and onion are crispy and starting to brown.

01 - Thaw green beans before cooking.
02 - Omit onion if desired.
